Commissions: The Big Debate
Following the NAR settlement, sellers will still need to pay the 2.5% commission in order to attract a home buyer’s agent. Or do they?
Right now we are seeing more 2% commissions for buyer’s agents. The downward pressure on commissions is going to continue to increase.
Enter the new Lysster Buyer’s side for listings. Sellers can now make offers to the buyers not yet represented that they would offer any of the Lysster services if the buyers also use a Lysster agent.
- The most it will cost using Lysster to cover both buyer and seller agents is 3% total.
- The most expensive it would cost using Lysster to sell with full listing and buyer fee is 4%.
That’s 1-2% of the sales price less than the standard real estate agents charge.
With Lysster, when some properties align correctly you could now pay over 90% less to sell your home.
How is it possible that you could save so much money?
